Back in 2022, I connected with Vince Perez, who created a handful of Grateful Dead lot shirts during the fall of 1985. After expressing my love for these vintage designs, he graciously went hunting for some of the original images for me.

A few weeks later, a poster tube showed up in the mail that contained films used to make the screen prints for two t-shirts: there was this one, entitled "Black Eagle" and one of a skeleton riding a skull adorned with red roses. We released the skeleton skull in December 2022 (also available now), and I just recently converted this Black Eagle film into t-shirt form, so here we go.

Once I was able to digitally inspect and clean up these 40 year old screens, you really see the amazing details in Vince's hand-drawn designs. Really incredible stuff right here, both in the artwork and history of the shirt. This classic lot shirt was originally made and sold by Vince at a handful of west coast tour dates back in 1985, but only in white. This black one is a new creation.

We are going deep to bring this one back, and I'm glad we're able to. This is a beautiful lot shirt, that doesn't scream Grateful Dead and can be worn with class. The front prints are slightly oversized.
